With the demolition of the current Westmount school and the construction of the new parking lot, the entire Westmount Public School property will be closed and off limits to the public for the summer. This includes areas previously accessible, such as the play structure. This is necessary in order to complete the demolition and parking lot in time for the September opening of the new school, while still assuring the safety of the surrounding community. There have been many challenges throughout the building of the new school and this is hopefully the last one. We are all looking forward to the opening of the new school and being able to have our wonderful green space back for the students and community to enjoy!
