Our Westmount students are excited to participate in a variety of singing activities this week.  

On Thursday we will be recording the Grade 1, 2, 3 & 4 students singing, O Canada.  These recordings will be used for our morning announcements.  A video of the students singing, O Canada will also be sent to the Board Office.  The Waterloo District School Board (WRDSB) are asking schools to send in videos of students singing, O Canada.  The Board will then use these videos to create a montage of WRDSB students singing, O Canada.  This video will be used for various events at the Board Office.  For more information about this project click on this link: https://www.wrdsb.ca/blog/2017/10/18/wesingocanada-together/#.Wg8zkGQ-eP8

The Grade 5’s & 6’s are participating in the CBC Classroom Music Challenge again this year.  On Thursday we will be recording these students singing, Lost Boys.  This recording will then be entered in the CBC Music Challenge and up uploaded onto the CBC Youtube site for all to see!  You can learn more about the CBC Classroom Music Challenge and view Westmount’s video by clicking on this link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtU0r8W3ZHQuhKm1W1xiaVA  (The video of our students should be up and on the website by the end of November.)

The kids have been putting in lots of time practicing their songs and are excited to participate in these events!
