June – Changes – Goodbyes and Hellos

We would like to thank all of our Westmount students and families for a wonderful school year!  The staff at Westmount consider ourselves extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with each and everyone of you.

Our appreciation goes out to our wonderful School Council who this year offered/supported so many great events such as the Winter and Spring Clothing Swaps, Cookie Dough Fundraiser, Science Night and Fair, Reading Night and Author Visit, Pizza Fridays and daily Breakfast Program. There are so many volunteers who work tirelessly for the benefit of our children.  Thank you and please consider how you might like to be involved next year . . . we always need more volunteers!

You will be missed by staff, students and parents. All our very best in your retirement!

Thank you to our LTO’s – Ms McBride, Ms Nicolas, Mrs Schacht and Ms Firth we greatly appreciated all of your efforts this year and you will be truly missed.

It has been my privilege to be the Principal at Westmount P.S. for the past two years.  Many years ago I began my very first teaching position here at Westmount and I have come full circle to finish my career here.  After 29 years of being an educator with the WRDSB, I am closing this chapter of my career at the end of June. I have greatly appreciated working alongside the dedicated Westmount P.S. Staff.  I can confidently say that your children are in the best hands possible! Our Wildcat Students are kind, caring children who embrace with great enthusiasm the daily learning and fun here at school. I wish the very best to all the families at Westmount P.S. and hope you have a great summer. A very special welcome to the incoming school Principal, Ms Jennifer Crits who is presently the Principal at Prueter Public School.

Most Sincerely,

Ms Carolyn Griffiths

Principal
