We are pleased to share the Waterloo Region District School Board’s (WRDSB) 2022-2023 assessment results, recently released by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO).
Results in the WRDSB
The 2022-2023 EQAO results showed that WRDSB students are surpassing provincial results in some subject areas, as well as performing at similar levels to their peers across the province. In one case, WRDSB students are below provincial results. These EQAO results highlight areas for each school to focus on to enhance and further improve student learning and well-being. Comparing Our 2022-2023 Results to the Province
- WRDSB performed above provincial results in:
- Grade 6 writing and mathematics
- Grade 9 mathematics
- WRDSB performed in line with provincial results in:
- Grade 3 reading and writing
- Grade 6 reading
- Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) for students writing the test for the first time
- WRDSB performed slightly below provincial results in:
- Grade 3 mathematics
Comparing Our 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 Results
- Our 2022-2023 results improved compared to our 2021-2022 results in:
- Grade 3 reading, writing, and mathematics
- Grade 6 mathematics
- Grade 9 mathematics
- Our 2022-2023 results stayed the same compared to our 2021-2022 results in:
- Grade 6 writing
- Grade 10 OSSLT for students writing the test for the first time
- Our 2022-2023 results slightly declined compared to our 2021-2022 results in:
- Grade 6 reading
By The Numbers
